Maine Spirit Farm is home to three beautiful India Blue peafowl, Mumbai and his harem Bindi and Suri. 

We are currently taking reservations for our waiting list. We ask for a $100 deposit to get on the wait list and it can be up to a years wait.

Peacocks are LOUD during mating season and their calls can be heard as far away as a mile. Free ranging is possible but not recommended. They need an outdoor aviary that is at least 10' x 20' and 8' tall. They need an enclosure such as a barn and ideally they need a heat source during subzero nights. While they are very cold hardy extreme cold bothers their feet. They eat a mix of layer crumble, cracked corn and sunflower seeds. They enjoy most fruits and vegetables and love mealworms as a treat. While peafowl are very easy to keep they do have to be wormed twice a year and that's easy to do. Peafowl can live up to 50 years in captivity so please do your research before committing.
